Spring Season 2017
For the Spring and inaugural season, Lord George was excited to collaborate with the remarkable Kate Bolton, whose menu was inspired by the weird and wonderful world of Lewis Carroll’s ‘Alice in Wonderland’.

Kate Bolton is a Portland, Oregon bartender with roots deeply tied to San Francisco bar culture. She has a restaurant career that spans 18 years, having worked in over 20 bars and restaurants - and managed or consulted on over half a dozen programs. She has worked in 3 Michelin-starred restaurants and was the opening bar manager at Maven in the Lower Haight, where she remains a partner today. During her time there she was awarded San Francisco Chronicle Bar Star (2012), Eater Bartender of the Year (2012), 7×7 Magazine’s Best Cocktail Menu (2013), and Nitey Award’s Mixologist of the Year (2014).
In 2013 she consulted and co-designed the program at the acclaimed Novela in SoMa, having creating their signature "punch on draft" system with Whitechapel owner Alex Smith. Most recently she relocated to Portland where she has had the honor of working with the city's top talent, as well as creating an aperitif cocktail menu at Americano that went on to win The Oregonian's 2016 Bar of the Year.
She is thrilled to have been invited to work with the team at Lord George and hopes you enjoy her interpretation of Alice in Wonderland for the Spring season of Mavericks.
